Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Arvind Kejriwal, warned Modi "fascism will not work in India," and "We will fight and we will win."

Opposition parties in India joined forces on Sunday to protest against the recent arrest of Sunita’s Husband and Delhi‍‍`s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, just weeks ahead of the national elections. They accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party of election manipulation and harassment through hefty tax demands.

Addressing a rally in New Delhi, Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi lambasted Modi, alleging, "Narendra Modi is trying match-fixing in this election," while the crowd echoed with chants of "Shame!"

Arvind Kejriwal, a vocal critic of Modi and a prominent figure in the 27-member opposition bloc "INDIA," was arrested on March 21 on charges of graft related to liquor licenses. His Aam Aadmi Party contends that the case is politically motivated.

Despite protests from the opposition, Modi‍‍`s government and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) maintain that law enforcement agencies are acting independently, denying any political interference.

Gandhi emphasized the significance of the upcoming election, stating, "This is not an ordinary election. This election is to save the country, protect our constitution."

Joining Gandhi on stage were leaders from various regional parties, setting aside differences to present a united front against the ruling party.

Modi, in a rally in Uttar Pradesh, asserted his government‍‍`s stance against corruption, claiming that the opposition aims to protect the corrupt while his party strives to eradicate corruption.

Meanwhile, Congress alleges facing "tax terrorism" and financial constraints due to government actions, which it perceives as attempts to undermine its financial stability.

Critics accuse Modi and the BJP of using investigative agencies and tax authorities to target political opponents, a charge vehemently denied by the ruling party.
